Dr. Nawal Shaikh, DDS

Dr. Nawal Shaikh is passionate about helping patients feel comfortable and confident in their smiles. She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Touro College of Dental Medicine in White Plains, NY, and completed her residency at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx. Since then, she has been practicing advanced dentistry, with extensive experience in general dentistry, endodontics, orthodontics, aesthetic dentistry, and pediatric care.

Dr. Shaikh believes in taking the time to truly get to know each patient and their unique needs. She never rushes appointments and only recommends treatment when it’s absolutely necessary. Her gentle, thoughtful approach has helped many patients overcome their dental anxieties and feel at ease in the chair.

She is a specialist in Invisalign clear aligner therapy, helping patients achieve straighter smiles with modern, discreet technology. In addition, she is certified in Botox, offering patients expanded options for both dental therapeutic needs and facial esthetics. To better serve her community and connect personally with a diverse range of patients, Dr. Shaikh is fluent in both English and Urdu.

Community & Connection

Raised in Long Island, NY, Dr. Shaikh now calls Somerset County, NJ home. She is deeply committed to giving back to her community through various mentorship and volunteer roles:

• Youth Mentorship: She regularly mentors local high school and college students exploring careers in healthcare and dentistry.
• Community Leadership: She volunteers at her local mosque, where she helps organize and lead engaging events for the youth.
  
  

Outside the Office

When she’s not caring for patients, you can often find Dr. Shaikh on the pickleball court, at the Pilates studio, traveling, or spending time with her friends and family. While she’s a pro at oral health, she admits to having a major sweet tooth and never passes up a good dessert!
